BY NATURE FILMS presents ‘Into the Heart of the Mountain’ a film about a western spiritual leader of Zen Buddhism, a social and peace activist Roshi Joan Halifax on her path to empower women and indigenous people to preserve their culture and bringing medical support. We believe indigenous peoples have the power and solutions to solve many of today's problems when respected and empowered to do so. We can really learn from native people and their way of life. In our Western culture we have the loss of certain values. That's why we need to keep looking at indigenous peoples to learn or rediscover what's really important in life. A deeply intimate pilgrimage with Tempa Dukte Lama and the entire team of Nomads Clinic in the most remote high altitude regions of the Himalayas of Humla District, Nepal.
The film is now in the post-production phase and will be released shortly.

‘There are nine bullets of which we could only remove three.’ Veterinarian Vijitha Perera and elephant expert Marjo Hoedemaker, friends of the elephant, are committed to elephants who are victims of the human-elephant conflict. The Asian elephant was once the greatest ally, now it is an enemy to many Sri Lankan farmers. Both camps regularly receive casualties, an average of 130 elephants and 65 people a year. The habitat of both humans and wild animals is becoming increasingly smaller, which means that paths are regularly crossed.

‘The Negro comes from the jungle, but the jungle never comes from the Negro.’ It is one of the statements that the Dutch happy few in Curaçao do not turn a blind eye to. The Antillean often hates the large group that belongs to the Dutch elite. Their arrogance, their own habits that they have without realizing it, is often an eyesore for the Antillean. The Dutch, also known as Makambas, would ignore the rules and have no respect for them. This while some Dutch people believe that they are being discriminated against by the Antilleans.
